Hello!
We are Nelson Street Church, we’re a group of Christians living in and around Rochdale. We have a building just behind Rochdale Bus Station in the town centre with lots of things going on (and you are very welcome to join us).
We also have activities running each week in Syke, either out on the common, going door to door, or in the Rochdale Sea Cadets’ building on Greenbank Road.
COFFEE & TEA
Mondays (during term time) | 8:45 - 9:45am | FREE
At 8:45am on a Monday morning, we open the Sea Cadets Building to serve cups of tea and filter coffee. You’re welcome to take this away or to stay for a while if you’d like to catch up with friends or make friends. We welcome parents after the school run, local residents who would like a brew and we offer take-away brews if you’re walking your dog or heading off to work.
No need to book, just drop in.
CRAFT & CHAT
Mondays (during term time) | 10am - 12 noon | FREE
At 10am on Mondays we have our craft morning at the Rochdale Sea Cadets’ building. Everyone is welcome, no crafting experience or skills are required. If you like the idea of making something, having a brew and meeting people, this is for you! All materials are provided.
You are welcome to drop in.
MEET & EAT MONDAYS
Mondays (during term time) | 3:30 - 5pm | FREE
We will be launching this after-school club, for primary school aged children and their families after October half term 2025.
An evening full of games, craft activities, stories and food (tea is included for children and their grown ups) as we explore Christian faith together.
Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
You are welcome to drop in but it’s helpful if you can sign up so we know how many to cater for. If you have any dietary requirements please get in touch.
PRAYER
Each week we choose a street (or two) and pray for everyone that lives there! You may have had us knock on your door and ask if you have any prayer requests. If you would like us to pray for you, please email: syke@nelsonstreetchurch.org and we will be in touch!
